I am glad that we had this little contract issue because now we know how he truly feels and we do not need someone who feels there is a better chance of winning somewhere else on our team! I am currently paying AT&T $59 for my plan which includes 200 text messages. This is a fair deal. With the release of the iPhone 2.0, I will have to pay $69 for a voice plan + $5 for 200 text messages. This is $15 more per month or $180 more per year. Also, if that was not bad enough, existing iPhone owners must pay a one time $18 upgrade fee, not to mention the price of the new phone!!! Year 1 will cost me $397 more than I am currently shelling out. I am outraged!! This actually makes me sick to my stomach. I was so excited about the iPhone 2.0 but AT&T had to go and mess it all up with their greediness. Looks like iPhone 2.0 adopters will be paying for a large chunk of AT&T’s new 3G network!!
I think I will be waiting to see how this all plays out before I decide if I will upgrade. The 3G coverage and GPS do not look that spectacular.
After hearing about Twitter for almost a year, I finally decided to give it a shot. At first it sort of seemed creepy. Who the heck really cares what I am doing? I found through a few days of use that I enjoyed receiving updates about where my friends are and what they are doing. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that you can follow certain web sites which tweet news to you. My local paper even sends out tweets!
The only downfall so far is trying to convince your friends to use Twitter. They all have the same preconceived notions about the service that I had i.e. the creepiness factor. Those all go away within the first couple days of using the service.
If you are thinking about signing up I would recommend doing so before you count it out.
I love you Trader Joe’s but I hate traveling to Cleveland to shop with you. With gas at $4.00/gal, it costs a mint just to get to you. The Youngstown area would be a perfect place for you to set up shop. Areas such as Poland, Canfield, Boardman and Austintown could really benefit from you setting up a permanent home here.

6 months ago, I stumbled across the best tea in the world. I was shopping at the Beachwood Mall and stumbled upon Teavana. They were passing out samples of a green / red rooibos mix. My tea fascination graduated to a whole new level. The exact mixture was 1/2 Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls & 1/2 Rooibos Tropica. It’s a little pricier than your average box of Tazo tea but is worth its weight in gold. Tea is great for relaxation. I substituted coffee for tea years ago and do not regret my decision.
Get ready to stand in line for another sweet Apple iPhone with 3G and GPS. Woo Hoo!!
I love Apple and I love my iPhone but there is some basic functionality that had better be added to the next major iPhone update or I may be seeking a Blackberry! The three major missing links that should have been available out of the box are as follows:
1. MMS messaging! How in gods name can you not include one of the most common features on all other mobile phones?? Even the shitty freebies have MMS. Com-on Apple, get your head out of your rear ends.
2. To-Do List! I’ve got an idea, lets make a smart phone that does not include a to-do list, the single most important feature of a smart phone; no one will notice.
3. Notes Sync! The notes are all ready to go on my mac. They look exactly the same as the notes on my iPhone. I push the sync button….waiting…..waiting…. finally, all synced up. Oh….the notes did not sync…fricking brilliant!
Last year, my cousin Dan Giese was called up to the Giant’s bigs for his first ever major league debut. He pitched 2 perfect innings! Now, after signing with the Yankees in the offseason, the call has come once again. It appears he will be the long reliever backing up Joba and team. Dan has been starting games this year due to an injured roster. This was uncommon as he has been a reliever his entire career. I guess he found his calling. Since starting, he is 4-2 with a 1.98 ERA in 13 appearances.
